Sending Love - 39, originally uploaded by danselan.
Sorry this picture is a little blurry! I took it with my iPhone - turned out ok considering the camera!

I made this card, which is a bit of a different style for me after discovering Kristina Werner's blog, and watching this video. Can you believe she wrote that sentiment? Amazing! She inspired the design as well as the breaking out of my SU background stamps!!!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

I created this card based on the "Compose a Card" challenge a couple weeks ago from Becky Oehlers. I absolutely love the result, though I didn't get it uploaded in time to participate - oh well, it was super fun to try. Pink!

Pink!, originally uploaded by danselan.

This card was fun because it's my first use of the Papertrey Guidelines II set for what I intended it for - making my own patterned paper!

See all those pink swirly images in the bottom layer? Those are all individually stamped. It took awhile, but I made almost a half sheet of this paper, so you might see it again soon :-)

The heart stamp is one from when I was little - it's probably the first time it's shown up on a card...Yes I save things that long!

It's a little hard to see, but there is stitching along the edge of the first layer as well.

Card Details:
Paper: PTI White, SU Pink Passion, SU Pretty in Pink
Ink: SU Pink Passion, SU Pretty in Pink
Stamps: PTI Guidelines II, Posh Impressions Small Brush Art Heart
Misc: Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle, Sewing machine and white thread

Be Mine

DSC_0007, originally uploaded by danselan.
This card started with the kraft curly label down in the left corner. The button, bow and heart came next, and then it sat on my desk for the next week and a half.

It was cute as a little embellishment but I wasn't sure what to do with it - it wasn't quite right. I know I wanted a sentiment, but none seemed to be the right size.

And then inspiration hit in the middle of the night - it needed a border. And so the faux stitching was added and "be mine" became the perfect hit. I have always like how Heather Nichols adds the sponged white ink on her cards, so I gave that a try as well.

Hopefully you like the result - it's sort-of a new technique for me.

Card Details:
Paper: SU Kraft, SU Shimmery White, PTI Raspberry Fizz
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip, SU White, and SU Pink Passion
Stamps: SU So Many Sayings, PTI Polka Dot Basics II

Baby Card!

Usually when I make cards I start off with an idea in my head for the layout, but it never ends up the way I originally imagine it.

This one originally what going to have green and blue on the elephant, and no big blue circles behind. I'll have to work on getting the paper to do what I see in my head :-)

Here's a quick look at the inside:

Card Details:
Paper: SU Green Galore and Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Stamps: PTI Background Basics: Spots and Dots, Bitty Baby Blessings
